Whimsical Waves

A soft wave is always a romantic, simple and versatile Valentine’s look. Softly moving hair looks playful, invites closeness, and best of all? It still looks great at the end of the night! Half-up, half-down hairstyles also work perfectly – the waves soften and frame your face, whilst the height of the crown elongates and flatters at the same time. It’s time to work with your hair’s natural texture and volume with a hairstyle that looks casual yet flirtatious at the same time. Did someone say ‘bed-head’?

Beautiful Braids

Give your hairstyle a romantic touch this Valentine’s with some enchanting braids. Try plaits on top of plaits by wrapping two sections around a central plait, then pull out some strands for a tousled look. Or, opt for a low side parting and plait your hair to one side with a basic plait or fishtail. You could even try winding your plait into a bun and pinning it low at the nape of your neck. The same goes for ponytails. Why not use several bands and create one or more loops?

Charming Chignon

Simply soften an austere chignon or ponytail by leaving some loose, flowing strands around your face. Soft lines and playful styles never fail to appeal and inspire romance – and they are pretty easy to create! Place your hair bun closer to the nape of the neck for a soft, pretty hair idea. Pair with a lick of black eyeliner and a soft, neutral lip for a simple and sexy look that’ll get the heart racing. It looks equally as sweet on ladies with curly hair, too!

Sixties Bombshell

The 60’s were all about full blown glamour with a playful twist – perfect for Valentine’s Day!  Why not try ‘The Bardot bump’ – the iconic ’60s hairstyle inspired by Brigitte Bardo – giving this classic style a modern twist by creating the bump with a pretty pony and a thick black ribbon. A textured sixties inspired half-up, half-down is great, because the waves soften and frame your face, whilst the height of the crown elongates and flatters at the same time. When copying this cute hairstyle, try using a sparkly clip or hair-colour-matching bobby pins to secure the up-do, instead of your usual hair clip of choice.

Vintage Vixon

What’s a romantic hairstyle without some good ol’ fashioned finger waves?! Ooze vintage glamour and pay homage to some of Hollywood’s ultimate leading ladies with this classic retro style. Casual finger waves also look enchanting when in combined with the undone side-chignon.
